Johnny Limbo & the Lugnuts played together for the first time on May, 29th, 1978 at a party as nothing more than a gag, playing music of the 50's & 60's. To their surprise they were a "hit," and 30 years later their fame has taken them from Portland and the Northwest to the East Coast and a Far East Tour including Japan, Korea and the Philippines.
They have shared the stage with such 50's & 60's rock and roll greats such as Chuck Berry, Chubby Checker, the Righteous Brothers, Ricky Nelson, the Ventures and Paul Revere and the Raiders.
Their show emphasizes showmanship which creates an unbelievable on-stage energy which results in packed dance floors at every performance. "Rock and Roll will never die and the Lugnuts are the reason why."
Relive the 50's and 60's and be sure to attend the SANDY OKTOBERFEST!

Becky Pershing - Lead Vocals: Becky sings for the love of the music and knows
how to turn the most subdued crowd into a party. Her natural comedic timing and her genuine love for the audience, means you will feel like you are truly a part of the show. She has shared a stage with local bands Power of 10, Gilmore's Basement, Three in the Key and the Eric Savage band.
Michelle Kuepker - Percussion/Vocals: After spending years in the domestic work
force, Michelle has at last emerged. She recently completed her tambourine certification.
Singing backups and playing with The Dave Berg band back in the late 80’s, Michelle
has not lost the verve that shook her years ago.
Dan Johnson - Guitar: Dan has been described as a blues guitarist with heavy
metal influences, but that was before he started studying classical music. He loves heavy
rock but also has a passion for acoustic music. From Iron Maiden to Black Sabbath
to Hendrix and Zeppelin and all the classic rockers who were influenced by the old
blues people, Dan has always been attracted to skilled players, which led him to classical
music and consequently has made him an exceptional musician.
Steve Kuepker - Bass Guitar / Background Vocals: When you just cannot sit
down because the sound is just too good, that is because of Steve and his bass lines.
He has played in many local bands with varying styles. His history includes Dave
Berg Band, Unplain Jane, Power of 10, Cat Jugglers and Gilmore’s Basement. He
has also recorded keyboards and acoustic guitar to the Satellite Kings demo recordings.
Charles Neal-Drummer Supreme: The world is full of good drummers but it is truly difficult to accurately describe that certain quality that makes a drummer exceptional. Charles personifies
the meaning of "groove" and brings exceptional drumming to the stage for Global FM. He knows how to make the song feel right. His top of the line studio, East to West Studios in Clackamas, is his home away from home. |

Mark of Mystery
http://www.youtube.com/user/MarkofMystery
Mark of Mystery performing throughout the weekend at the Sandy Oktoberfest.
Mark Dorsett found his passion in 1990 at the age of 10 years old after watching David Copperfield perform on TV. In that “magical moment” he knew, without a doubt, that performing magic was the life he wanted. Starting with just a handful of tricks and the ready audience of his family and friends, Mark began performing at family functions and children’s birthday parties. He quickly became known as “Mark, The Magic Man”.
Using the experience and skills he has gained throughout the years, Mark has taken magic to another level by creating "The Fly."
Mark concentrates on making his performances unique, fun, and exciting for all ages. His collection includes some of the world’s favorite magic tricks with a twist. His talent for performance gave him the edge to reinvent routine magic tricks, into something new and exciting.
You may think to yourself you have seen this trick before...but you haven’t seen nothing yet….until you’ve met…..the “Mark of Mystery!” |
