Johnny Limbo & the Lugnuts played together for the first time on May, 29th, 1978 at a party as nothing more than a gag, playing music of the 50's & 60's.  To their surprise they were a "hit,"  and over 30 years later  their fame has taken them from Portland and the Northwest to the East Coast and a Far East Tour including Japan, Korea and the Philippines.

They have shared the stage with such 50's & 60's rock and roll greats such as Chuck Berry, Chubby Checker, the Righteous Brothers, Ricky Nelson, the Ventures and Paul Revere and the Raiders.

Their show emphasizes showmanship which creates an unbelievable on-stage energy which results in packed dance floors at every performance. "Rock and Roll will never die and the Lugnuts are the reason why."

Relive the 50's and 60's and be sure to attend the SANDY OKTOBERFEST!

NW Volksband

Jim and Shirley O’Brien are retired university professors – both began playing music when they were young. And now, after 42 years of teaching others, they are spending six months of every year driving around the western United States, stopping at festivals to share their passion of singing and playing.

Both have roots in Oregon. Jim grew up in The Dalles and Shirley grew up in Salem and Dallas.

Twelve years ago, Jim founded the Accordion Club of Tucson that now has over 50 members who play several times a month.

After spending their summer at Newport Oregon, they are now on their way to Idaho to appear at Daanen’s German Deli Street Fair Oktoberfest and Festa Italiana Street Fair in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in late September.  After that, they will finish up the year performing in festivals back in Tucson in November and December.
